Physical Development and Body Awareness
Gentle stretches and movements in Baby Yoga help babies develop their muscle tone, flexibility and overall physical development, leading to better coordination and body awareness.
Vestibular and Proprioceptive System Development
Through movements such as rolling, swinging and tummy time, Baby Yoga encourages the development of the Vestibular System (responsible for balance and spatial orientation) and the Proprioceptive System (responsible for the awareness of body position and movement).
Bilateral Coordination
​Baby Yoga poses and movements encourage babies to cross the midline of their bodies, which builds neural connections between the right and left side of the brain (bilateral), supporting the develop of coordination.
Emotional Regulation
Like adults, babies hold tension in their bodies. Gentle, rhythmic movements and soothing touch through Baby Yoga can help to promote a sense of calm and security.
